In astrology, the asteroid Itokawa is named in honour of  Dr. Hideo Itokawa. His asteroid is used  to highlight astronomical or rocketry discoveries and advances. He is affectionately called “Dr. Rocket”  because on April 12, 1955. he led his fellow scientists in launching the tiny rocket called Pencil, a miniscule thing about 23CM in length of 9 inches, in the suburbs of Tokyo.  That chart, with a sunrise time,  is here.

Why the Scandal Matters California Representative Eric Swalwell, who is on the Foreign Intelligence Committee, is in the news for sleeping with a known Chinese spy, Christine Fong, her Chinese name is different depending upon the new source, but the anti-CCP run Epoch Times says Christine’s name is Fang Fang, and she has received lots of secret intelligence briefs from him. This comes from Axios News Media, created in 2016 by former Politico journalists,  who

Tesla was a Serbian American inventor and engineer . He is credited with discovering and patenting the rotating magnetic field, the basis of most alternating-current machinery Marc Jones has July 10, 1856 in Smiljian Austria-Hungary Empire, now Croatia, but Tesla was not Croatian as widely believed but was an ethnic Serbian and his father was an Eastern Orthodox priest. Though he was famous and respected, he was never able to translate his inventions into long-term

The dates on Supreme Court Justice Murphy are incorrect. William Francis Murphy was born on April 13th , 1890 not April 13, 1893 in Harbor Beach, Michigan to two Irish immigrants and devout Catholics. He got his law degree at the University of Michigan (LL.B., 1914) and, after serving in the first World War and held several elective posts in the 1920s. His efforts to help the unemployed got President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s attention, who

Actor James Byron Dean was born on February 8, 1931, at the Seven Gables apartment on the corner of 4th Street and McClure Street in Marion, Indiana, southwest of Fort Wayne. Like the larger city, they named Marion for a Revolutionary War general, this time Brigadier General Francis Marion. Megyn Kelly,  previously the Kelly File, on the cable network FoxNews, had a major run in with Presidential candidate Donald Trump.  When asked if this was “political” attack, she said No,  but I did not agree, so I did her chart. I am not sure why I bothered, for while she claims her political slant is “independent“, like most talking heads, it would be better to phrase it as “opportunistic.” Ms. Kelly has been married

I honestly thought the three Warleggan family members the best thing on Poldark. Their acting was quite good and I enjoyed the performances of the actors for George, Elizabeth and Uncle Cary, immensely. I could find little on Philip (Pip) Torrens even browsing through the British papers, though YouTube yielded a few interviews. He has a long and varied career — starting with Oxford Blues (a comedy c. 1986) to Star Wars VII: The Force

Don Knotts was first known as Barney Phyfe in the Andy Griffith (variety) show, but he soon stole center stage with crazy slapstick, off beat comedy and headless chook demeanor. He was great. Celestiology looks to his chart to understood what made Don run.

There are a few issues with Jones’s notation on Danny Cox. First he has him born in Washington DC while Boxing Record lists NYC. We went with Boxing Rec, and suspect that Mr. Cox was born in Hell’s Kitchen near Times Square. The Jones chart is the first in Green; ours follows.

Tunisian Azzedine Alaia,  died on Saturday, November 18, 2017  in his adopted home of Paris where he was one of the couture fashion doyens.  His company said the cause was a heart attack.  He was eight-two years old.  Alaia was called a sculptor of the female form, notably worn by  the First Lady Michelle Obama   who once wore an Alaia sweated to Buckingham Palace (much to Oscar de la Renta’s horror) to Madonna and  Lady
