The southeast is getting brutal temperatures, so I have decided to concentrate on that part of the country. Instead of a chart for each time zone, this week we have four Dallas, Amarillo, New Orleans & Bismarck.
The difference is three are in the heat wave but the fourth, Bismarck North Dakota, chart goes straight north North Dakota or about 950 miles. 1 SEA Historic has a great article on Bismarck North Dakota and bismarck donuts so we can see the difference latitude makes.

The big change is the emphasis from the second house of the wealth and resources of the country to its opposite — the eighth house in mundane matters of tariffs, taxes and governors; president rules the tenth. Outside of the weather, a major historical event for the US that happened in the eighth house was when President McKinley was shot. It also ended that Saturn cycle. 2 McKinley was assassinated by an anarchist, Polish-born Leon Czolgosz , who wanted to stop him from enacting his election promise to lessen immigration. McKinley was assassinated on September 6th, 1901 at 4:07 PM, in Buffalo, New York at the Pan-Am Exposition Center, (see a map of the exhibit here) six months into his first and only term (Presidents traditionally got inaugurated in March because of transportation problems). McKinley died eight days later of sepsis — there was no strong antibiotic to stop the infection. Theodore Roosevelt, then the Vice President, became the lawful successor.
So perhaps this heat wave is also putting some heat on Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, whose plea bargain has fallen apart. Some think this kills Joe’s re-election campaign, a figurative “death” of the president.
And then there are Governors
In the meantime, speaking of governors and the eighth house, crazy talk of Mitch McConnell leaving the Senate is bopping around. I did his chart a while back, but I think I just posted that on Facebook, so I will have to find it and put it up here. Well, if Mitch leaves, the Kentucky governor picks his successor. Problem is he’s a Democrat. Frankly, I do not understand the pressure on McConnell for one flub when doddering Joe is given a free pass. Sounds like politics to me; but that’s Washington for you.
But the important thing is of course the Weather
Weather wise, Saturn in Pisces in the eighth house is pouring the heat on down south, even though Saturn is best known as the bringer of extreme cold, but that’s actually wrong. Saturn is the bringer of storms and In these southern charts, Saturn is sextile Pluto in the sixth in Capricorn, Saturn’s native space while also being inconjunct to the Dark Moon Lilith in the first house. When Lilith shows up near the ascendant, and is appropriately afflicted, gives great power to the Dark Lord and stop all growth — too hot for plants and people. Sometimes there is also high winds but nothing is in an air sign so that will not happen. Instead, it will be just lots of unbearable heat.
Another sign for bad weather is Uranus in Taurus, an earth sign, in the tenth house thus giving it strength by being in its ruler and next to Jupiter.
Typically, Uranus being here we would see cold, but in these charts, it could mean sudden changes of temperature brought on by rain. So it rains for a bit, it is hurricane season, and there is some relief, but it doesn’t last and then the temperature just return to their former highs making it now humid and hot.
Jupiter also being in the tenth suggests dryness, particularly so as he is square the Leo ascendant, another dry sign that is ruled by Mars, which is Virgo in the second. So, yes, the heat will continue, but hopefully the a/c will hold as it will be too hot for a cool swim.
Offloading Previous Years
I’ve taken all the old, as in previous years, weekly posts and put them on SEA Historic. Every chart, though there were many I inadvertently deleted some time ago, that is previous to 2023 is now there. I did this because I notice they do not get many hits and it makes the site harder to search, plus it was creating a huge list of tags that were rarely otherwise referenced.
I may end up doing that with all the Historic events i.e. earthquakes, plagues, elections and inaugurations and such. I haven’t decided on that. The obvious downside, like the Bismarck donuts, is they are not as easily referenced.
What that means is when 2023 end, all these charts will be offloaded there too with their original dates and data intact though I am not too sure about the image files as I have noticed they do not always get exported; only WordPress knows why.
TAROT CARDS for the Week
This week I drew 10 of pentacles (Virgo) crossed by 7 of pentacles (Taurus) or the high heat keeps the family together, either physically or in close communication.
Good luck.
