This chart is for support of Mr. Korematsu’s civil liberties struggle so you can use it against the charts on the FDR Interment essay. I did not rectify it but chose the standard sunrise birth chart. Korematsu was born on January 30, 1919 in Oakland, California, the third of four sons born to parents who had immigrated from Japan.
Of all the asteroids that appear in the many maps during the War Years, Hidalgo, the centaur, shows up on his birth chart, partile to his Sun. It seems rather prescient that when he changed his identity he claimed he was Spanish and Hawaiian for Hidalgo commemorates Father Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla (1753–1811), the Spaniard most responsible for declaring Mexico’s independence in 1810 from Spain. 1 See the first house with Hidalgo at 09 Aquarius 37 and the Sun a minute later. The Sun-asteroid combination, from the Sabian symbols is “a man of stature is catapulted into popularity, unspoiled he plans further achievements.” This degree suggests a true faithfulness to self in moments of great significance, but warns of overreliance on opportunity.
Toro, for the bull, another asteroid that plays heavily in his the Interment charts, also appears suggesting that this was not only the Federal government bulling him but him resisting back. 2 See the eleventh house cusp for Toro at 01 Sagittarius 14 that gets from Charubel the symbol of “one very subtle and sensitive who will not be imposed upon”. As Toro is square his Mars right on the eleventh house cusp this supports the idea he felt FDR’s order “bullied” him into submission and he resented it. With Neptune in the seventh and trine Toro and opposite Hidalgo and his Sun, Korematsu felt he was innocent of these “implied” charges and so would not go as ordered.
