Depicted above is the cardinal grand square for Bannon’s transiting (outer) chart against his natal chart. We rectified the natal here.

Transiting Grand Square

Grand Squares are a frictional aspect and occur when circumstances chaff the native — he longs to burst out of the restraints and get moving, typically onto something else, and can be transitory (with the Moon) or longer lasting. But the square lasting more than a day (a Moon square) forces the person to reconsider the larger picture and constructively put together a plan.  Bannon’s square currently is short term, but within the next week it will become longer lasting as Venus in the fifth, his media assets, kick into play.

Since the Moon aspect will fade, we will concentrate on the Square with Venus as a point and not it.  Bannon’s Grand Square starts with Neptune 25 Libra 08 in the ninth house, suggesting the reality of day-to-day politics bores him, and he preferred to more Sturm und Drang ¹Britannica, The Editors of Encyclopaedia. “Sturm und Drang”. TVenus at 21 Cancer 05 in the T9th house is conjunct Bannon’s South Node, in the sixth house.  This points to his many assets, billions actually, which takes him away from his greater role in life shown by its sextile to his TPart of Fortune. ² The Part of Fortune is considered what makes a person tick and here is at 22 Virgo 04 and gets Sabian image of a circus master confronting his fear of the lions that is conjunct his natal Moon encouraging the fear in the natal eighth house.
