Prince William and Kate Middleton have revealed the name they’ve chosen for their baby boy. His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
Louis (pronounced “LU-EE”) means “renowned warrior” in French, and is likely a tribute to Prince Philip, whose grandfather was Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg and was also born almost a month later, on May 24, 1854 in Graz, Austria. He married a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England, also named Victoria.
Their fourth son was Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas, Prince of Battenberg, better known as Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten, the last viceroy of India, who was the beloved great-uncle (Uncle Dickie) and mentor of Prince Charles of Wales, William’s father. The Royal couple stated that it was Mountbatten for whom the boy was named, & the Daily Mail felt it was “a touching nod.”
When Mountbatten died, the UK Guardian wrote, “That he should have died at sea is fitting,” but “That he should have died at the hands of the assassins… is an affront to history.”
Louis is also part of Prince William’s full name of William Arthur Philip Louis and his eldest son Prince George’s full name of George Alexander Louis.
The Royal Prince is a Western based bucket with a Moon handle. His bucket is rimmed with Jupiter and Venus, suggesting that he will take after his Uncle Harry and Andrew more than his father and with its point focus at the Moon 10 Leo, caution should be his byword. The Dragon’s Tail opposite his Moon in the seventh house hints that marriage could be problematic like Great Uncle Andy and the gold-digging Sarah Ferguson or that he is a sexual experimenter.
Louis will probably not be as close to George as his own father is to his brother Harry — there seems to be more sibling rivalry brewing there than the elder pair had. His mother, the Duchess Catherine of Cambridge though will be a major influence in his life because of the Moon handle.
The preponderance of earth in his chart accentuates that he will be practical but trine his tenth house stellium, that is intercepted, suggests he will be theatrical as well and this maybe something that turns out to his advantage. However it turns out, all the best.
